Why do you need more than Gonnamba and the rest of the million marching with you? An intellectual needs only his own verification. An observer is empowered by others who identify. The former is Ganesh and the latter is Muruga. Which one do you identify with?
I am neither Ganesh nor Muruga. Nor would I ever claim to be one. I am just a crazy Sri Lankan trying to do the impossible. Even my wife says that she will never go back because of fears of a mob attack or something else going wrong. In the same vein, she also wants to see an end to this war. She had very bitter experience in Sri Lanka, both in Colombo and in the North. If you had to take shelter in a makeshift bunker while the explosion of an artillery shell cracks open a wall in your house, I would also think twice about going back to a place where there is a chance of it happening again. But, I have spoken to others, the middle-age to the old, who want to go back if there is peace. And there are millions of people in Sri Lanka, if only given a real fighting chance, would do all they can to bring in real peace to their land. I wouldn't be doing any of this if I don't believe that the impossible is possible. Both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have shown what is possible if only you believe in it and struggle for it regardless of what the naysayers say. |

Read the question. YOu are obviously distracted by your ideas. I asked you which one do you IDENTIFY with? You gave me the answer to the question Which one are you? I would not have asked you or anyone else that question? One who IS Ganesh, is also Muruga.

If you identify with Obama and Clinton more than with one who feels Tamil, you would be imposing American values on Sri Lankans. You ought to be talking to Americans. Obama and Clinton do not lead Tamils

If we all UNITE, then we have more power than you can imagine...
Already Malaysia/Singapore already boycotting business and so is the most of the countries where tamil's are,
Thats why Sri Lanka is suffereing, the only thing they can focus is tea because establish in Middle east where tamil don't care...

By saying it is impossible you have already defeated yourself. There are no calculations for feelings. If feelings are all you have - that is fine. Express them repeatedly and they will be your reality. No calculations of rights and wrongs there. Your wife has feelings on the basis of her experience. You are calculating. That is weakening you. How about you going to Sri Lanka's North and East for some feelings first? |

Thanks for catching me off guard. I didn't realize that one who is Ganesh is also Muruga. About your comments about imposing American values on on Sri Lankans... Let's see here. Freedom of the press, freedom of speech, freedom of assembly, the right to practice one's faith without the interference from State, and yes to be able to provide a better for your children if you try hard enough. You are correct. These are not the values currently adhered to by your 'Tamil leaders.' Shame on the American values. Gob forbid, if the Tamils in Sri Lanka ever dream of enjoying such values. |
