Kural,

Neither can I go back to the place I was born. It is located inside the Palaly High Security Zone. But, my ancestral village, located in Vadamarachchi, is accessible. Most of my relatives on the maternal side have left this place and are scattered all over the world now. Quite a few have also died, going back to the Operation Liberation (1987) and the Indian Peace Keeping Force involvement. In 1983, my family had only two suitcases of clothes left. But, at least we were lucky to be alive. I owe that to a Sinhala 3-wheeler driver and army personnel who didn t look at us as Tamils first. I wrote last week in LNP about mine and my wife s experience since 1983 and onwards. If the majority of Sinhalese had to go through what the average Tamil had to go through since 1981 (burning of the Jaffna Public Library), they would have produced at least ten Prabhakarans by now. They just don t get it. If you cause pain to someone, then that person will try to cause pain to you (if he can). That is the human nature in its primal roots. You can t expect everyone to be as forgiving as Mahathma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, or Barack Obama is.

VATICAN CITY (UCAN) -- The only way to bring a 'just and lasting political solution' to Sri Lanka's 25-year conflict is through dialogue and negotiation, Pope Benedict XVI told visiting President Mahinda Rajapaksa on Dec. 1.

Gunasekera said the roads were so bad that it took more than four hours to travel a distance of about 50 kilometers

We Tamils knew this since long ago... we were waiting for roads to improve 60 years and finally we realized that Zhingalayaas are not capable of doing anything but petty politics and killings. That is why VP became impatient and started liberation for TE.

Heh!

Everybody has forgotten what happened since the CFA was signed in 2002.......

Either you Tamils (or most of the tamils, sorry to use the word tamils) are ignorant, or purposely hiding the real truth just to hoodwink the world!!

Sit back, and read what happened after the CFA 2002, don't go back to the incidents prior to the CFA......

Neither party is saying that they want to throw the tamils out and why????

What majority of Sinhalese is say, NO FOR SEPARATION!! Very simple!!If we are really against the tamils, there was enuf havoc done by the LTTE terrorists to create violence something like happened in 1983....

The Temple of Tooth, is one GOOD example as it is considered as a very sacred place!! and many others. And the Kebitigollawa bus attack!Did you all forget that it was carried out during the CFA. But still the gov. did not react!!!

Yes!! Seems to be KILLING VP is difficult!!, but until he is eradicated along with this terrorist movement!! Everybody wiil have to suffer!

Probably President might not have shown the character certificate of Velu_Pulle...and I guess from a National leaders point of view you can't!

Even though, let's say we went for a CFA, and the gov. introduced a JUST Solution to SRI LANKA..Why I say Sri Lanka, as a NATION all the people are suffering, not just the tamils!and what would be your guarantee that the normal tamils have got the ability to defy the LTTE GUNS!!

The tsunami was a good example!! how the LTTE chased the sinhalese villages when they went to help the tamil fishing folk who was affected by the tsunami!, the tamils who had not their food for three days, were devasted by the act!!

And the Navy Soldier's story during the tsunami! I won't tell it..Look for yourselves! And a clear example of BITING THE HAND OF A MAN WHO EXTENDED HIS HELPING HAND!!

Militarization of Sri Lankan business and administrative service. What can this donkey Thoradeniya do to foreign countries?
I think I have wasted to much of my time on this failing nation. Well, it is for the people to decide what to do. They can read Mao Tse Tungs writings.
Mahinda is staying out of the country as much as possible and one day he may have to seek asylum in Canada and good news I have the job for him. I will first start him on how to sweep the floor.

Can any one see the developments in Sri Lanka? These singhalese in this forum are focusing on bashing the Tamils without knowing that the military is getting ready to take over the country. Then these people will realize what has happened. We have been telling repeatedly to become aware of what is slowly developing into an anarchy, these ignorant savages cannot understand.
I think Mahinda had it enough so he is going to leave the country, but he is feeling to see which country will take him. When the nation is in socio-eonomic and military crisis who will leave the country. But then these ignorant barbarians cannot comprehend it. They cannot string up events to form the flow of events.

Subramassi,

He doesn't need your job.. He has enough money to live , at least three times, as a Persian King !

So yes Ranil is the biggest traitor Sri Lanka ever had !
Hope Sri Lanka will have a leader like him at least in the next 100 years !
