I also don't understrand, Retired Army General may be a good officer.

But, he is not a business man with a MBA.

why Sri Lanka does not have any capable people with experience and a MBA to appoint to the CPC.

Earlier it was a Cricket player he screwed up CPC half way. His only need was to get a job for his daughter.

Let me know any UN documents that show the eelam boundary? We seen only the international maritime boundary for Sri Lanka, after ongoing surveys are completed its going to be expanded.

At present it is accepted by UN as below.

territorial sea: 12 nm
contiguous zone: 24 nm
exclusive economic zone: 200 nm
continental shelf: 200 nm or to the edge of the continental margin

later the continental shelf will expand to 500 NM

Sovereign nations have right to protect against terrorism - Barack Obama

US president-elect Barack Obama on Monday (Dec 1) had stated that 'sovereign nations have the right to protect themselves' against terrorism, revealed the international news media.

According to the media reports, Obama speaking at a Chicago Press conference told the reporters that his incoming administration would be fully committed to wipe out terrorism.

''What I can say unequivocally is that both myself and my team are absolutely committed to eliminating terrorism,'' he had said.

''We cannot tolerate attacks based on twisted ideology of hate...we will bring the full force of our military, economic and diplomatic power to defeat this. I will be monitoring the situation closely', he had added.
