REVY, Sritharan, SHAN, Chinthanaya
IT is your time to go and Save LTTE.
LTTE SOS TO JOIN BATTLE
State intelligence agencies have received information that the LTTE had called up its operatives in foreign countries to immediately come to battle.
Intelligence agencies say that the LTTE is calling up its members from overseas as they are unable to find the necessary manpower to attack targets in Colombo and the suburbs.
A senior intelligence officer said that many LTTE operatives who resided in Colombo and the suburbs had fled the country in the past few years in fear of search operations and the sudden disappearances which have been taking place of late in Colombo. It is these operatives who have now been recalled.
The goal of these Tiger operatives is to cause explosions and launch attacks in Colombo and the suburbs in order to disrupt the daily routines of people. The intelligence officer said that a majority of these LTTE members have already been identified and were being apprehended. - Lakbima English |

WILL GOSL prosecute these MPs and Ministers ??????????
Thirty nine ministers are defrauding the government and receiving a Rs.100,000 housing allowance while living in their own houses in and around Colombo. These ministers were giving addresses of relatives or friends living in Colombo and were fraudulently taking the monies that were meant to be paid as rental, if they had no houses in Colombo.
The Government spends a staggering Rs.47 million annually in public funds to pay the house rents of these ministers who purportedly live in rented houses . These ministers are pick pocketing public money JVP MP Ranaweera Pathirana exposing the details of the fraud , told LAKBIMAnEWS.
Under the State Administrative Circular no.10/2007 a sum of Rs.100,000 has been allocated to cabinet ministers, non cabinet ministers and deputy ministers who have not been provided with housing to rent a house in Colombo.
It is ironical that ministers who own houses in Colombo were collecting the Rs.100,000 monthly rental while staying in their own houses and were giving the addresses of relatives or friends in order to get the money. Leaders from left-wing parties, a minister from the Jathika Hela Urumaya and those who have recently joined the government from the UNP were among these ministers who were receiving the money.
JVP MP Ranaweera Pathirana said this was the conduct of ministers from a government which continues to tell the people to make sacrifices because of the on-going war. He pointed out that ministers were living in luxury while heaping more and more burdens on the people. Taxes had been slammed on the people while ministers were making false claims and emptying government coffers. It is also worth asking if monthly housing rent in Colombo costs 100,000 rupees. The Minister of Environment and Natural Resources has a house down Nawala Road in Nugegoda. This is a big joke. These Ministers live in Colombo and draw monthly rentals of Rs100, 000, he said.
GOSL should begin the home offices and Video conferencing SO MPs can function from their electorates.
