Troops evading LTTE booby traps and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) continued their frontal and indirect attacks until late Friday (21) evening. Confrontations became intense as the troops began closing in on the town perimeter of ADAMPAN since Tigers now on the defensive were trying to block the passage of the troops into those areas.
