In 2008, so far the Tamil Tigers lost 2239 cadres, 1578 males and 661 females according to the latest release. Since the current space of the war intensified in 2006, in the north and east of the country, in 2006 the Tigers lost 1004 cadres, 745 males and 259 and in 2007 they lost 1196 cadres, 1037 males and 159 females, the release further said.
