Well, your reasoning behind wanting to finish the war is valid in a sense that you identify with the victims. But don't forget that you are still blessed with food, access to medical care, shelter living in any part of SL besides the North. Finishing off terrorist can never be justified at the expense of another individual's deprivation of basic needs in life.
You seem to understand the consequences of death on people, as a doctor myself I see that almost everyday. The mental deterioration of a patient who has lost a loved one will be understood if experienced or witnessed first hand. War might be physically over but will definitely go on in the minds of every single child that has been affected. When these children grow up to be teenagers/adults and start expressing this anger and vengeance.. it will be worst that what SL is seeing today. Mental power is more deleterious than any invented weapon.

VP not becoming the head of TE does not mean TE will miss one of the three main pillars.
Indeed any leader of TE will be heading the state of Tamil Eelam with VP's blessing. After sacrificing 30 years to build the Tamil nation, VP deserves some rest at some state. VP will be the father of TE regardless of who heads TE government. VP name will grace the capital of TE, its main internation airport, main bulavards....! |
