Jaffna civilians jubilant over Pooneryn liberation
The Jaffna civilians including youth took to the streets on Monday(17) hailing the military victory over LTTE terrorists at Pooneryn. Celebrations commenced as news received of the national flag been hoisted at Pooneryn and people lining along the streets waving national flags and shouting slogans against the defeated terrorists. People were also requesting the security forces to liberate Kilinochchi as soon as possible, ending the scourge of LTTE after decades , Army sources in Jaffna said.
