mate a lot of it is 'unrealised' losses - in the sense that the owner of assets that are currently depressed wont necessarily sell but will hold uyntil markets improve. |

Muhamalai battle kills over kills 50 LTTEers
Over 50 LTTE carders, 10 soilders were killed and 30 solders were wounded during the capturing of 800m long 8km wide LTTE line in Muhamalai since Saturday

they preliminary depends of food related exports i guess thought there will be significant decrease of consumption still people buy them,not like cars :)
yes australia has always had a strong food/livestock export levels but more recently the demand for iron ore and other minerals from india/china have been the major exports. this is expected to decline in near future as india/china scale back their activities due to the global economic position. |

Today the australian market is down sharply 4.5%.. yesterday on ABC radio I heard Aus market is the worst hit in major markets in the world.
yesterday, short selling ban is lifted on non-financial stocks and we are seen the impact of it too...
Most of the financial institutions are in big trouble, especially those who invested on infrustructure assets like BNB and MQG... |
