1. He can surrender and avoid further loses of LTTE cadres and civilians for a pointless cause.
This is on the presumption SLA and paramilitaries will not slaughter the surrendered cadres.
You must know what is happening to youths in jaffna , Batticaloa and South. They are kidnapped and either executed or tortured. That's why many Jaffna youths surrender to the HRC to be locked up in the overcrowded cells to protect themselves from murderous paramilitaries, EPDP, TMVP and PLOTE.
VP must swallow his pride and announce he is for an autonomous Federal solution. If the president is hell bent on Unitary State under the failed 13th Amendment (1989) then there is no way out of the mess both Sinhala and Tamil nationalists (LTTE is the main culprit among Tamils) created.

Sri Lanka war is heading towards Somalia. Those days the politicians gave all kind of goodies to get elected. This time around they are giving life for votes. If a man goes war and dies for some one to get elected, the people have become savages. That is fanaticism. What is the future of Sri Lankan people? Gradual and continual degradation to wards savagery and barbarianism. How ever much you tell them determinism is firmly believed and there is no choice but to continue the war.
This will be last posting and let me improve the lives of people who are yearning for it. |

MR and VP are extremists stick to their intransigent Unitarism and Eelam.
VP destroys the North and MR the entire country especially the North.
Both cannot continue their madness of killing and destroying. VP will continue random attacks if direct military confrontation is costly and defeating, he cannot be easily written off from what he did in the past. MR's fortunes are nearing its end. He must defeat LTTE soon or will face backclash in the South and may even lose the elections he is planning. That's is how militarily jingoistic leaders face defeat.
