	India fares badly on global hunger index how can they afford to send 1700 tonnes of food to sl while their own are dying of humger???? but then....they are always looking after everyone else's business so i think it would be unrealistic to expect any better!

The situation in certain areas in India is terrible. I think you remember the Sopaka story during Buddha s time, it seems as if nothing has changed, real cruel.

But 30 years ago, for each rich Indian they had 10 all purpose slaves, the poor Indians. Today it is about 6 for 1 except for TN. So things are getting better.

Another interesting one

Among the better-fed countries, Mauritius ranked 1st, followed by Jamaica, Moldova, Cuba and Peru. China ranked 15th, Thailand 23rd, Sri Lanka 39th, Nepal 57th and Pakistan 61st.

	The Tamil Nadu government has arranged family packs containing food and non-food items including clothes and hygiene products for the civilians who have been displaced in the intensified clashes. They know how to treat the high caste Tamils from SL. Probably they will get toilet facilities too. Good work by tn coolies.
