Slmate,
The frustrated and misguided Tamils in the diaspora, like those in NGOs, hang on to him hoping that he can launch a last-minute rescue operation.
Given that you are not one of them - show the merit basis of your statement. If you do not have one - you are practicing racial discrimination when you think the Tamils are down.
But Prabhakaran has no solution either to the military crisis he is facing now
Something he has faced practically all his adult life. His valuation / satisfaction would come from his realisation that he has achieved for those whom he believed to be his people. Something you would not know if you are not part of his natural group. In terms of military status, Prabaharan and the Tamil Tigers have achieved far wider status than any rebel group of our times or any Sri Lankan group known to me and this includes the JVP who surrendered at similar level to Karuna and Douglas. JVP would have been eaten up in an international environment, without the protection of the Sri Lankan government. The Tigers grew taller and taller through their real commitment to the cause they believed in. At this tertiary stage - wins and losses are equally acceptable to the real investor who would see the benefits being enjoyed by all in his community including the likes of Karuna and Douglas who owe their current status to Prabaharan. I lost my cases in court due to custody of benefits being held by unjust judges living in their own world. But today I am contributing to policy whilst they have continued to become obsolete/die in real sense.
or to the future of the Tamils.
Let us be the judges of that. The Tamil Sri Lanka School alumni here in Australia are joining forces to prepare for the next stage of self governance in education.
Those who believe in him refuse to recognize that he is the problem.
Belief is Truth. Hence what you are saying is that he is not a problem but an opportunity to them.
They are reluctant to acknowledge that he has gone past his use-by date.
How would you know - you alien? |
