However, there is no military soluition to the problem and powers that be should develop an acceptable political solution if they want to have permanent peace in the country.

Many thanks for the link. If you were referring to the very first article that you had provided from Sunday Leader, I am afraid that is not providing any credible answer to any of my queries!
Just so you know, I would take articles and columns in the Sunday Leader with a pinch of salt. If you need a better update try Sunday times.
I am sure there is considerable propaganda by the govt about military victories. However if one thinks the LTTE still enjoys upper hand that is like living a fool's dream.
There comes the comments I made. They have turned out to be a farce, not even terrorists. Tamils need a better leadership than that.

Thanks. It is quite possible that the govt is making propaganda reports, but surely you do agree that the LTTE has suffered one military debacle after the other.
All i am saying is the current leadership of the LTTE has achieved nothiong, delivered nothing and is using civilians to safe his backside. Ideally VP should resign and let someone else take the mantle. What has he achieved really? North and East has gone back to stone age. People die everyday not for any valid reason but to protect VP. Come on, there has to be an end to a failed leadership dont you think? |
