what is the point of 90% literacy, until today begging for food and survival..
Sri Lankan Tamils never had and do not have positive influence in Sri Lanka. IT is all other people who contribute to Sri Lanka.
So, while Tamils are destroying the country some how we hanged on there.
Even India was begging until recently. Some regions of India and some people of India may be well to do. but, Sri Lanka NEVER HAD the Poverty and starvation that INdia has.
India has destroyed itself. IT is just a western country with brown skin. They don't have that old civilization.
Sri Lanka is highly spoiled. but, still we can save it. |

But I understand that the LTTE is growing in the South East sector of the country. So the front lines are been redrawn by LTTE. Who is leading and who is following? Is LTTE manipulating the Govt?
Don't you guys think the front line has been re drawn and now they have to redeploy the military to the south east?
I am at loss, Mahinda says he is winning but the LTTE is growing in a different direction.I quote from Mayomoto Musashi and Sun Tzu. MM said'' Establishing the site of conflict so that it is advantageous, is very important' and Sun Tzu said,'He who occupies the field of battle first and awaits his enemy is at ease he who comes later to the scene rushes inti fight is weary'.
So it looks like LTTE is setting the agenda and the military is following. VP is going to wear you guys down. Also Sun Tzu said, 'there has never been a protracted war from which any country has benefited. What is essential in war is victory, not prolonged operations'!
I hope I have given an analysis which even a veteran will find it difficult to comprehend. I am at it for the last 60 years. so says my analysis. I am sure LTTE people will be reading my postings with much interest.

GOSL is gonna be bankrupt Soon in not even able to raise a loan for 300 million !
Thank you Modaya Chinthaya !
It is in the context of failure to deliver on the military front as per the deadlines given by Rajapakse that the economic crisis becomes significant since the government knows the longer it waits, the more disastrous the situation will become as revealed in a Bloomberg report, hence the decision to weigh the option of a general election to ride the crisis and survive politically.
This report filed by Johanna Dee Chua on Emerging Markets Trading Strategy for Citigroup Global Markets Asia states Sri Lanka's foreign exchange reserves have fallen at an accelerated pace largely due to foreigners exiting the country's treasury bill and bond markets and the Central Bank intervening in the market to keep the rupee stable by selling about US$ 600 million to the market in the last few months.
Posing the question, whether Sri Lanka is an accident waiting to happen, the report, states the country is the most externally vulnerable in the region and that the recent announcement seeking proposals for a US$ 300mn syndicated loan looks very difficult under the current environment.

LTTE Leader Velupillai Pirapaharan has informed the Tamil National Alliance the Tigers will strategically withdraw from Pooneryn but deal the government a devastating military blow within the next three months.
This message was communicated to the TNA through Batticaloa District MP, Senathirajah Jeyanandamoorthy who crossed over to Tiger territory the previous week in the company of another Eastern Province MP, Chandra Nehru.
It is learned only Jeyanandamoorthy had met Pirapaharan while both MPs had met LTTE Political Wing Leader B. Nadesan.
According to the briefing given by Jeyanandamoorthy to the MPs, the LTTE had said the organisation can never be defeated militarily and that they will fight to the last man if the government persists with the war.
The Tigers according to the MP had also said the people of the south will within the next few months realise the futility of the war effort and start attacking the government for misleading them.

Just reflect on my previous posting. That will help you to understand the dynamics of the war. VP is focusing in the South east. Now Fonseka has to redeploy his troops. Can he do it again? Not when he is on a pay cheque and his sugar, chloesterol are high. My university mate is his family doctor so I may have some insight into both their health. |

LTTE strategy is to continue it's operations as a guerilla group.
Who will lose out of that. IT is just irresponsible politics.
You may not be able to think from another point of view.
but, just watch the show decide for yourself. |

What is the Troop strength of LTTE in order to have redeployments.
they will do just hit and run.
I think, GOSL already know about them, and I heard they will be looked after.
Some one said, they won't be killed. After one year, they would wish they had been dead last year. |

AnuD,
LTTE will continue till the day the constitution is amended and proclaim henceforth all people of Sri Lanka are Sri Lankans not defined by Race, Religion and Language.
That will be a tough sell. look LTTE growing in a different diction and they are manipulating the battle front and soon the economy will collapse.
Somalia in the making. |
