There were Murmurs & Surprise even Disbelief When Ltte S-elected Mahinda Rajakashe as the next President when Ranil was willing to consider their claims for IIGEP if elected President !

We have to look at the Series of Events that took place after CFA & that will hold the clue Why Prabhakaran Selected Mahinda.

When CFA was first signed by Ranil, Tigers were on the High Swing having roasted the SLA militarily & the GOSL was on the verge of Bankrupt !

So GOSL had no other choice than to bring in CFA with aid of goodwill of India & other countries which did not want GOSL to go bankrupt.

After CFA was established, the wily outfox Ranil did not implement the various Demands of Tigers like withdrawal of forces from Schools & other places , yet he went on creating Goodwill among International countries & Got GSP+, inflation to less than 5% & the Economy was on the Swing when even Diaspora Tamils began to invest in Colombo.

Then came the Karuna Split & even Eastern tamils were for the first time asked questions abt Prabha !

When Tsunami came, Eelam got no funding even though it brunt the full impact of Tsunami & he wanted to wage war but his hands were tied by IC not to wage war...

So Prabha grabbed the chance when Basil came to Wanni & negotiated with TC for making Mahinda as President..

Prabha is not a autocrat as is being made out & he has his own council & it was decided that Ranil will be more harmful to Eelam than Mahinda ...

So Modapakshe was selected & now wat are the achievements of MR ?
he has not repeated yet what was done by Anuradha ratwate when EP, Jaffna , Pooneryn & Kilinochi was under their control..
No Major Victory for last one & half years even though GOSL trumpets its small victories !

Yet already the GOSL economy is getting bankrupt & we dont know how long the war is gonna end...Economically GOSL is gonna a cronic patient waiting to be performed the last rites !

Even TN tamils have got on the support of Ltte thanks to Modapakshe.
IT is difficult to imagine this with Ranil on the Helm.

TAF the Mosquito has grown in size & stature & it is difficult to imagine this will happen if Ranil at the helm. USA would have given latest surveilence to take out TAF but with Modapakshe at helm, even Bush govt is not willing to kill TAF Mosquitos !

All in All, tigers are Down but not out While GOSL is on the verge of Knock out....

Prabha is laughing all the way in bank at expense of Modapakshe !
