The Habitat for Humanity organization under the American
Embassy in Colombo has initiated a project to construct houses for low income families. The first set of houses constructed under this project in Modera area in Moratuwa is nearing completion and the roof tiles were laid yesterday. Here US Ambassador in Colombo Robert Blake is shown lending a hand.

Good to see this kind of help provided for poor families. Soon Vanni Tamils can also receive help to build their houses destroyed by LTTE terrorists
