Bangalore dude:
you can live in the past or you can live in the present. if you chose the latter, it would make no sense to support vessi and peelam.....as i said this is the 21 century.
you have to become part of the solution and not part of the problem if you wish success!
there is another thread! |

like you in Canada. They are native son of the present Srilanka ( for information both Sinhalas and Tamils went from present India. Is it not!).
NAtive Reserves are a good political solution for Sri Lankan Tamils.
Nullify the Provincial council system and the 13th amendment and implement TAMIL - NATIVE RESERVES. |

AnuD,
Many mistakes were done in history !
If Madurai court never gave a princess and decided to wipe out the immigrants, Sri Lanka will be different right now !
I think prior to Europeans arrival, Tamils and Sinhalas lived peacefully. British gave more importance to Tamils, and then jealous Sinhalas decided to punish Tamils for something they have not done !
You know what happened then ! The majority elected Solomon Bandaranake for his 'Sinhala Only Act' ! |

I thought your presence in a foreign soil would make understand the pain of Srilankan tamils. But I am disappointed. There fore I conclude that there is no point in arguing with reasons with you. |

After all these developments, is it really possible to stay in an unitary Srilanka?. Do not get emotional. Many countries much smaller than Srilanka are existing in many continents cohesively. What is the problem having separate states for both.
Take Indian model is very successful. We do not feel alignated wherever we go in India. |

that is something that has to be decided thru a democratic process. if they have a referendum and the majority say there should be two states so be it.....but you cannot force the demands of the minority on the majority. that is not how democracy works! |

No kidding Einstein!! LTTE dumb enough to just to come to Colombo to bomb and where as they could have made some impact on the frontlines and slow down the SLDF advance with those..
Spot on mate,so what is the message you get here?the army operations in the wanni is not a threat to them.I mean they are stepping into a trap set by tigers, that is why they are not attacking them which is less riskier than attacking colombo.
