Devolve power to minorities, Delhi advises Colombo

India has told Sri Lanka to devolve powers in matters such as agriculture and education to the local authorities in its east if it is serious about power sharing to end the country's ethnic conflict. At the same time, New Delhi has conveyed to Basil Rajapaksa, Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa's adviser and brother, that a military win over the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) was near impossible.

Huh??? Tamils are from South India (tamil nadu). The Sinhalese are 'descendants' from North India.
When were the tamils the majority in Sri Lanka??? Are you trying to say that the tamils (like yourselves) are the indigenious people of Sri Lanka??? HAHA! LOL!
Here we go.. I know exactly that it would reach here :))
Sometimes I find myself smart as I can see exactly what I expected to see..
Tamils are originally from Kumari Kandam (which included Sri Lanka and South India), so yes we are indigenous to Sri Lanka. You must be really badly informed and not aware of your heritage to think that all Sinhalas are descendant from North Indians. |

India devolved power to linguistic minorities in 1957.
Not only India even present US president who gave a blank cheque on 'war on terorism' to SL and Israel, asks Sri Lanka to opt for a political solution before taking any more military attacks.
India has got the trump cards such as being blind to LTTE movements, withdraw tye credit facilities, radars, technicians, training of military personnel and many more in order to make the extremist president realise that he should not repeat the mistakes of Fox, JR-J.J |
