GG Ponnabalam, SJV, Appapillai Amirthalingam due to lack of protection, Neelan Thiruchelvam and many others more recently. Had these leaders been facilitated to govern their own and add their contribution on merit basis at the national level - we, the fair minded and educated Tamils would not have allowed the war to 'happen'. |

just a little trivia for you, for their contribution sinhalese have honored them well, just one simple example, do you know how many university hall in Pera have been named after such tamil leaders???

Wrong. This time I was consciously trying to not calculate and therefore I was taking an Equal Position - to have level playing field/zero base.
When we are equal - it is easy to merge and become common. Hence where we do not have strong merit basis - it's important to take up equal position until the other side tries to take higher position - as you have just done.
