Mahawamsa.. A country is a piece of land. Sinhala Buddhism is a very special religion that it is mixed with politics.

But my question is, what do the Aborigines have to do with Sri Lanka
Terra Nullius.
Using your own account of history - British disregarded the natural leadership of Aborigines so they could rule through what they considered to be superior intellectual powers.
Tamil homelands have their own natural leadership. Sinhalese majority cannot hand it over to them - not even if they were intellectually superior - which they are not. |

Kural, I think you are full of hatred towards all that is Sri Lankan without looking behind the stories you have heard.
Like you said you left here at the age of 4, so your knowledge of the real issues in SL are limited. |

What is your favorite benefit in Australia ?
The money that helped me buy this house/home unit. I bought land in Colombo which was unlawfully occupied by a Sinhalese thug and unlawfully sold to a Sinhalese businessman. Australia is stronger in landrights than Sri Lanka and I know this through my own experience. |

Even if I am checked I insist that the cops check the vehicle I am in thoroughly. Despite me being a Sinhalese. I have no issues with that.
U brought out a great point..
1) Cops after checking your ID and knowing your a Sinhalese feel your car is safe...They do not check it well
2)You have to insist..why? can't you point out to those cops to do their Job.
3)why do you think Tamils will have an issue and you as a Sinhalese don't have a problem? you did answer cos you know as Tamils they are in for a different kind of checking..
for me...whether your a Sinhalese or Tamil..if the COPS are there to check every vehicle for the safety of the Sri lankans then they should check the same way..There is no need for you to insist..
