No one I know ever complains about sudden road closures as a 15 minute inconvenience can never be compared to a bomb that kills even one person.
It is not just an incovenience. It comes on top of the bomb fears they feel everyday - much more than you travelling in your luxury vehicle. As I said - have the experience and realise the Truth without needing to understand.
By the way, since you feel so strongly about the armed soldiers - how much of your personal money and/or time have you contributed to towards compensation for their risks? I felt with the ones that were genuine in their duty and I spent time talking to them and even bought some of them nuts and sweets on my way back from Nallur temple. You see - I have the experience. You try to understand to gain status in these forums. |

As per my experiences they are not scared - they do not like white authority.
They don't 'like' white authority, because they are 'scared' of white authority. I'm sure this generation is not 'scared' obviously, but the previous generations are scared of what the white authorities did to them, hence they don't 'like' them, and this as been passed down through the generations. Even now, you can go to Redfern and see little Aboriginal kids taunting police... it's a community thing.
In custody, the aborigines would rather hurt themselves, than be held in captivity...
