If Obama was born in Sri Lanka he will not have voting right.
Only because his grand father was not born in Sri Lnaka.

DS Senanayake brought in legislation to disfranchise upcountry workers whose grand fathers were born abroad.

One wondered how on earth the majority with 66% of the population in 1911 rose to 74% in 1981. THey disfranchised and sent upcountry tea pluckers to India. The gratitude for developing the economy was to send 1,000,000 to India.
