BTW- missiles , however small has its own guidance system -which perishes with it. Isnt it ML?
Are we mixing up bombs & missiles here?- arent there guided bombs?
shouldnt there be at least a signal receiving gadget on the bomb?

(bakamoona is no military man-just common sense-a leetle bit of it)

Noting that there is a lack of research inmilitary and defense policies by local science researchers, he urged those engaged in scientific research to focus on the military aspect.

When the LTTE started this separatist campaign our armed forces were few in numbers and just not a fully fledged one. We continued to improve and develop and research into weaponry and tactics is a part of that. today we have one of the most experienced armies in conventional and guerrilla warfare and we will continue to develop. If you have a problem of doing research by the army go to your Tamil nadu and ask the indian army to stop doing it.

I was aware of what I was talking about.....you still miss the point..... let me put it in capital letters... THERE IS NO POINT IN FIXING GUIDANCE SYSTEMS ON TO FUEL AIR BOMBS....let alone infrared ones which seek a heat source or a marker

ML, just checked online for a little more info - are you sure about the above? I saw the description below for a russian FAE. Seems to be guided, not infra-red, perhaps, but the principle of no FAE needing guidance seems suspect. Please see link

Now this was a little f-d up. I don't mind SL scientists researching military stuff, but there was also a reference in the rest of the article to school kids being directed into that. Do we REALLY need SL society to be THAT militarized, including children?
