Singaporean National sentenced to 37 months for aiding Tamil Tigers to purchase of Surface to Air Missiles

US District Judge Catherine C. Blake sentenced Haniffa Bin Osman, age 57, a citizen of the Republic of Singapore, today to 37 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization and money laundering, announced United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein. United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein said, 'Haniffa Bin Osman conspired with others to provide material support to the Tamil Tigers, a designated foreign terrorist organization, and attempted to illegally export arms, including state of the art firearms, grenade launchers, night vision devices, surface to air missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. We will use all available legal tools to prevent terrorism, including undercover operations targeting people who attempt to obtain military weapons in violation of American law.'

Remember watever SLA has achieved is not even on the scale that they achieved in 1999s when Kilinochi, Paranthan, EP was all under SLA control.
Yes..yes..bro....in 1999's...Karuna, Selvam. Anton, Shankar, Charles..etc...all were there....and Today you see the difference... only pulle Velu is alone....and we Peelamists are still thinking Peelu Velle can do wonders......:-)

Now that TAFs proved the existance of secret airfields in TN to scoop onto any part of Shingala State within 15 mins, GOSL has no option but to change the whole war strategy.
SLAF will never dare to go after TAF airbases in TN. So, no matter what happen in Vanni, the war will continue. With TTA in place, VP can even operate from TN. The war will definitely turn in VP's favor! Yes, 'interesting days' are indeed coming ahead! |
