V should admire the courage of LTTE to run such a marathon with rubber slippers
now what the 'v tamils' has to do is to have a fund raise for high quality running shoes |

Race to Killi or race against the monsoon?
Considering
the pressure on the LTTE shoulders
the psychological impact a SLA victory in Kili would have
it would appear to me that the welcome committee there must be pretty beefed up at the expense of other sites like Nachchikuda S.T. base. Therefore, the monsoon rain should not be the key argument to unnecessarily expose SLA personal (as well as Tamils forcefully recruited by the LTTE) to additional danger.

LTTE is a dreaded terrorist organisation that claims to be the sole representative of Sri Lankan Tamils. Every credible independent assessment indicates that it faces a crisis of depleted infrastructure, combat strength, and morale, and has dug itself into a deep hole in its eroding strongholds in Mullaithivu and Killinochchi districts.
The terrorist crimes and atrocities of Velupillai Pirabakaran's organisation are too well known. Velupillai Pirabakaran has rejected, every worthwhile proposal for devolution of power to the Tamil regions within a united Sri Lanka. Following the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi on Indian soil by an LTTE suicide squad in May 1991, India became the first country to ban the LTTE as a terrorist organisation. Since the Indian proscription, nearly 30 countries, including the USA, UK, EU, Malaysia,Canada, and Australia, have banned LTTE as a terrorist organisation.
For several years now, some small fringe groups on LTTE payroll in Tamil Nadu have been involved in ineffective chauvinistic propaganda and activities to enable the LTTE to stage a political comeback in India. The overwhelming majority of the people of Tamil Nadu did not want a reprise of the secessionist campaigns and violent activities of the Tamil Tigers in one of India s most peaceful States.

They got no political purchase for the simple reason that the overwhelming majority of the people of Tamil Nadu did not want a reprise of the secessionist campaigns and violent activities of the Tamil Tigers in one of India s most peaceful States. |

C. Mahendran, senior leader of the Tamil Nadu unit of the Communist Party of India, in a recent interview to TamilNet.
He...He...I'm happy to know that there are people who would listen to Communists. In Colombo, they have a membership that fit in a three wheeler.
For Vanni LTTP and its media, pathetic losers like Wikramabahu are expert consultants. Way to go... |
