'TORTURE ASYLUM.' or 'Tactical Withdrawal'
will he be allowed to enter U.S.A?

Army Commander in a sudden tour in US
(Lanka-e-News, October 14, 2008, 10.45 AM) Army Commander Sarath Fonseka left for US suddenly for a private tour on day before yesterday

Army spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara confirmed the tour but did not reveal the reason behind it.

Lanka-e-News learns that the Army Commander has gone to US to extend his Green Card visa. Although it is due to be extended in November, he has left early due to instructions of the astrologers to stay out of the country these days.

The Army Commander who visited Vanni battlefronts on October 11 said that the earth mounds would not prevent LTTE defeat. Meanwhile the security forces are expected to enter into Kilinochchi town, the heart of the LTTE this week and the leave of the senior Army officers have been cancelled, Lanka-e-News learns.

In another front, the pressure from India to Sri Lanka to go for a political process regarding the conflict in Sri Lanka is also on the increase.

This is the pure indian view of the srilankan conflict..!!
Tamil Nadu s politicians clearly have different standards for India and for Sri Lanka. It would appear that they accept that battling terrorism in India and saving Kashmir from Islamist jihadis are important national tasks but not so in Sri Lanka which has been menaced for more than two decades by the LTTE. It was the LTTE which pioneered terrorism in South Asia and produced two generations of suicide bombers who have claimed numerous high-profile victims. For far too long have the legitimate aspirations of the Sri Lankan Tamils been held hostage to the hegemonic ambitions of the LTTE chief Prabakaran who has consistently sabotaged all attempts to find political solutions to the ethnic conflict.

The Sri Lankan army, just two kilometres away from the LTTE s administrative capital, Kilinochchi, has successfully encircled the Tigers and their leader who are virtually trapped in their bunkers. For the first time in years, the Sri Lankan government appears to be on the brink of a major success in its battle with terrorism.

it is thuggery to claim that the fleeing Tamils as srilankans.

on one hand the sinhalas are claiming sovereignty over the north east and in this way the Tamils are citizen of this fake country contradictory to the realities and on the other hand, it is their own forces are behaving like a foreign invaders terrorizing the north and east residents and making them to flee.

Tigy, it is painful.. istn't it.

But who cares the sufferings death of these innocent people. But whom to blame....

I think we the (minorities) in Sri Lanka or any part of the world have lost the power to fight for better rights.

It will be crushed by the help of your own friendy countries by the name of 'WAR ON TERROR'

Therfeore the best solution is adopt to the law of the country you live and make better use of it.

I think this liberation fight in Sri Lanka brought only missery & death to all communities..,

Hey Berty,

No compliments for diagnosing right? I am happy the scan came out ok. Is it that the scan did not show anything, but going by the symptoms it was diagnosed as Migraine? Darn, I sure should have gone to Medical College instead of engineering!!
