I think we don't mix Cricket (any sports) with Politics..
Cricket is a sport that brings everyone together..That is what happens in Hong kong..
and I suppose the puthinam pics and the slogans were from the picnic afterward? Waste of money, effort and time.
Imagine if all those people from both side of the road got together and stood hand in hand against terrorism and the division of Sri Lanka and for peace in in Sri Lanka, what a beautiful sight it would have been? |

But I am happy that we won, despite all this nonsense... and that AJANTHA MENDIS FROM THE SRI LANKA ARTILLERY UNIT TOOK AWAY THE MAN OF THE SERIES TROPHY!! |

Those protests are going to happen specially in Canada, We should not be focusing on those issue when there is a Cricket match..
If I am at a match and there is a protest, i will move to a place where I can enjoy the Cricket match..Not waste my time watching anything else..
anyway..it is over..SL won it as expected..
Let us move on..There is a special thread on this ..posted by Mr B..and people can fight there..

it is not hard..Since Canada has banned LTTE, this will be clearly under Political..But you may have a point when you watch those flags..if so why were they arrested..that is a different issue anyway |

it is thuggery to claim that the fleeing Tamils as srilankans.
on one hand the sinhalas are claiming sovereignty over the north east and in this way the Tamils are citizen of this fake country contradictory to the realities and on the other hand, it is their own forces are behaving like a foreign invaders terrorizing the north and east residents and making them to flee.
how cool is it?? what is in there to call them srilankans.....i swear i will pu k e (accidently) on a sinhala sooner or later..meanwhile i will watch out for the right candidate... |

NO..Politics has no place in Sports (CRICKET)..
U can't watch a match if there are a few drunkards or Hooligans or racist or people who misbehave. There are stewards who will take care of trouble makers..FYI..The Tiger Flags were not allowed inside the ground, if anyone takes it in they will be thrown out..rules will be strictly followed..why? to make Cricket lovers to enjoy the match..
