last month sla said that 780 sla killed so far this year

but 50 sla came back to live/latest

October 13, 2008
AT least 27 Tamil Tiger rebels and five government soldiers have been killed in clashes in northern Sri Lanka, the island's defence ministry says.

The ministry said the fighting took place yesterday around Kilinochchi, the administrative centre of the rebel Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) and the target of the current government offensive.

There was no immediate comment from the Tamil rebels, and casualty figures cannot be independently verified as the Sri Lankan Government tightly controls media access to the war-torn north.

The latest casualty figures bring to 7466 the number of LTTE fighters the defence ministry has reported killed since January, when the government pulled out of a Norwegian-brokered truce.

It has acknowledged the loss of 738 soldiers in the same period.

Daisy... these pics showed the juvenile behavior of a bunch of uneducated people... nothing else.
I for one is quite happy that these things happen... just makes them a burden on the Canadian system. On top of security and logistics of a 4 Nation tournament, the Canadian Police have to maintain law and order among these goons. So sooner or later, the chips will fall and these 'acts of solidarity' will be a burden on the system.

But I amust add...

SRI LANKA WON!

AJANTHA MENDIS - MAN OF THE SERIES!!

WE HIT YOU WITH LEATHER BALLS
WE HIT YOU WITH MBRL!!
SRI LANKA ARMY, BABY!!

Kilinochchi seems to be moving further and further away from the clutches of the sinhala barbarian hordes as the days pass.

I wonder what is keeping them from capturing the town. The LTTE have done a wonderful job so far by keeping the vultures away and with the start of the rains it will be impossible for the marauding sinhala hordes to make any progress in the war. That is when the war will make a dramatic turn in favour of the LTTE.

Andy
I think we don't mix Cricket (any sports) with Politics..

Cricket is a sport that brings everyone together..That is what happens in Hong kong..

I support the SL side all the way..i don't care whether the players are from Army/Navy/Tamil/Sinhalese/Muslim..for me they are simply sportsmen...
