Sinhalese population in 1911 was 66% and in 1981 74%.

Don't turn your argument on Muslims.

DPU were there weeks ago. They are the ones who gave preciese cordinates for SLAF which bombed all LTTE infrastructure.

Islam is only 1400 years old in the whole world. Buddhism is 2600 years old in Sri Lanka.

From the early periods of our history people from South India may have migrated into the island. There may have been Tamils among them as well. However, according to the historical evidence these isolated immigrants have been integrated into the main stream Sinhalese-Buddhist society.


If Tamils were not there, Sinhalayaas would have no Dalada Maligawam! When British, Dutch, and Portugese were pounding, Tamils helped Shingalayaas to protect Buddhism and keep your Sinhala identity... else, after 500 year occupation, there would not have been any Sinhalayaas!

Sinhalese are forever indebted to Tamils. But, they forgot everything and started burning the Tamils in 1983!
