DMK & ADMK play politics, Tamil Tigers say thank you

NEW DELHI: As Dravidian parties compete with each other to highlight the plight of ethnic Sri Lankan Tamils, to make it an election issue, and the Centre struggles to accommodate DMK s political interests, the LTTE has interpreted expression of concern by TN-based parties as a significant sign of solidarity .
In a statement posted on the pro-Tiger website Tamilnet, political head of the Tamil Tigers, B Nadesan, said: The solidarity extended by all leaders of Tamil Nadu would transcend into political support.
Pointing out that indiscriminate shelling and bombardment had uprooted thousands of Tamils from their homes and villages, Nadesan said the support from Tamil Nadu has come at a time when the Rajapaksa regime is conceited in its military aggression.
LTTE also expressed gratitude to Tamil leaders with specific mention of chief minister M Karunanidhi. Kalaignar M Karunanidhi on Monday indirectly declared that his government would no longer tolerate Indian Central government aiding the Sri Lankan government against the Eezham Tamils, even if it aided Colombo unwittingly, the Tamilnet website said.
The Dravidians parties have been slugging it out over the issue in a bid to capture popular sentiment in Tamil Nadu. AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa criticised the Mahinda Rajapaksa government for the ongoing genocide and Mr Karunanidhi for failing to come up with any concrete measures to stop the killing of innocent Tamils .
The AIADMK leader proposed that India should send relief materials to Tamils who are caught in the Lankan military offensive that is underway in northern Sri Lanka. She criticised Mr Karunanidhi for asking people to send telegrams to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Sending telegrams or reprimanding a low-level official is of no use to these suffering people... I demand that the Government of India mobilise the necessary relief materials for the Sri Lankan Tamil people suffering without food, clothing, shelter or medicines, she said in a reference to the summoning of Sri Lankan deputy high commissioner G A D Palithaganegoda by National Security Adviser M K Narayanan.
She said her party was against the armed struggle by militant groups but favoured an autonomous homeland for the Tamils under a federal set up.
We are opposed to an armed struggle, which has lost its way, resulting in killing of thousands of innocent people on both sides. We are distressed that a former Indian prime minister (Rajiv Gandhi) was brutally assassinated on Tamil soil as a fallout of this armed struggle, she said in an apparent reference to the LTTE.
On the other hand, Mr Karunanidhi, who had earlier called Ms Jayalalithaa s support for Lankan Tamil s fake, has now requested all political parties to sink their differences and come together for the cause of the Tamils in Sri Lanka.
In a poem published in DMK mouthpiece Murasoli he asked that political parties forget their narrow political differences and unite on this issue.

And then, first, we will annex Kathirkamam to Tamil Eelam and will help the Indian Tamils to have an armed struggle in Kandy to ask for sovereignity association with Tamil Eelam. We will make all Sinhalayas to learn Tamil, pay back time :)))) LOL

Holy cow! Now EEEEEEELamaya wants a part of India too. Let's see what happens when election is over. GoSL will not stop the war this time. If they are so concerned about LTTE, TN can take LTTE to their land leaving SL. |

So far nothing has caused to stop the military assault against the LTTE terrorists.. it is still continuing with normal pace.. as I told Thivya before TN is all BS talk but no work.. a prime example is how a dog goes to bite and bark only in his territory but when it comes to outside he is scared of even a fly..

TOday the HOn CM karunanidhi has asked all the Tamilnadu parties to meet on Oct 14th to thrash out the Sorrylankan Issue.
Anyway it is good for Eelam Tamils.. |
