I believe this is a revenge attack by UNP supporters for killing their party members in Anuradhapura, allegedly by the present government. Eelam Tamil suicide bombers are cheaply available on BOGOF (Buy One Get One Free) if anyone requires their services...lol...

NICE !!

King Asoka has given the title of Dev nama priya (the one who loves gods) to Sri Lankan King Tissa. Note that King Asoka himself had the title of Beloved of the gods Priya Darshin. Thus the King Tissa of Sri lanka became Devanampiyatissa

Pawan,

PROVE ME by Asoka's edicts or by any Indian historians or architects thesis/findings that Emperor Asoka bestowed his title to the Sri Lankan king Deva Nampiya Theesan. This is the new invention of history twisting, anti Tamil Sinhala historians.

Show me anywhere in the history the Kings gave their titles to someone else. I think that it is even wrong for us to use one Kings title to another King. The Sinhalese twist the history against its norms because they need some thing to show the ancient kings of Sri Lanka had no Tamil connection. The Sinhala racism against Tamils is so deep, and they will do anything to twist the history. :)) LOL

See you later... You should post the reply in your page. :))

Put it this way
King Devanam priyathissa is grand son of Panukabhaya

Can any one prove it is not ??????

King Devanampiyathissa has written 3 stone inscriptions in Sinhala
They believed to be the oldest Sinhala inscriptions in Srilanka dated back to 3 century BC
THivya can find it from her favorite research tool wikepedia

Others can read Research work of Shiran Deraniyagala
or Sinhalayo by Paranawithana Page 3

Mr. Baks, per request:

If I Had Eelam - by VP

If I had my Eeelam,
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
All day long I'd fiddle with my bum.
If I had some Eee-heee-laaaaaam.
I wouldn't have to work hard.
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
If I had a biddy biddy big,
Yidle-diddle-didle-didle ee-hee-lam.

I'd dig a deep bunker with rooms by the dozen,
Right in the heart of Killinochchi town.
A fine dirt roof with real floors deep below.
There would be one long staircase just going up,
And one even longer coming down,
And one more leading nowhere, just for show.

I'd fill my yard with tigers and tigresses and donkeys
For the town to see and hear.
Hee-haw just as noisily as they can.
And each loud 'hee-haw' and 'roar' and 'growl' and 'hee-haw'
Would land like a trumpet on the ear,
As if to say 'Here lives the King of Eelam.'

If I had some Eeelaaaaaaaaam,
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
All day long I'd fiddle with my bum.
If I had some Eee-heee-laaaaaam.
I wouldn't have to work hard.
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
If I had a biddy biddy big,
Yidle-diddle-didle-didle ee-hee-lam.

I see my Madivadini, looking like she's gained another size
With a proper triple-chin.
Supervising meals to her heart's delight.
I see her putting on airs and strutting like a peacock.
Oy, what a happy mood she's in.
Screaming at the cadres, day and night.

The most important men in the world would come to fawn on me!
They would ask me to advise them,
Like a Solomon the Wise.
'If you please, Fat Thalayo..'
'Pardon me, Fat Thalayo ...'
Posing problems that would cross Mahinda's eyes!
And it won't make one bit of difference if i answer right or wrong.
When you're VP, they think you really know!

If I had some Eeelaaaaaaaaam,
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
All day long I'd fiddle with my bum.
If I had some Eee-heee-laaaaaam.
I wouldn't have to work hard.
Ya ha deedle deedle, bubba bubba deedle deedle dum.
If I had a biddy biddy big,
Yidle-diddle-didle-didle ee-hee-lam.
Lord who made the lion and the tiger,
You decreed I should be what I am.
Would it spoil some vast eternal plan?
If I had some Eeeheeelaaaaam!
