Pawan,
I don't know how you pass your exams. I never asked you for the origin of Kasyapas name. You should learn to answer the question only. :))))
Thivya,
Who said I passed exams, i simply followed you, it was easy that way.
The point I was making is why did a tamil mother queen choose a name like Kashyapa for her son. no tamil names there, or did she detested the dravidian culture so much or was there no dravidian culture involved at all. |

ust beacuse you can't etymologically prove the Sinhala roots of the King Deva Nampiya Theesan. :))) See, e.g., Keown, Hodge & Tinti (2003), p. 72, entry for 'Dev nampiya Tissa,' where it is translated as 'dear to the gods'. Tissa, Dear to the Gods.. |

Even my name has Sanskrit roots. Many Tamil Hindus have Sanskrit root name beacuse Sanskrit is the language of many Hindu religious books, just like Pali language to the Buddhism.
I didn't expect a retarded question like this from you and I am disappointed now. :)))
