The origins of Aryans who took over the sub continent , their migration routes etc are well known.
The origins of dravidians is not that clear- Some scholars think they came to India from Africa (wink*) in ancient times and were established all over India-but just as the Africans were subjugated by Europeans -these proto-African Dravidians were easily subjugated by the Aryans.
