Anna,
I did not see Thivya post on Murali and if we leave the issue of being a tamil or supporting LTTE, I feel Murali should have been considered for captaincy (i am not sure whether Murali was ever considered). There is no question that he deserved at least a vice captain position at some point.
The captaincy and the vice captaincy is not an easy job. One qualification is that they are looking how are you are going to interact with the media and how you tackle them. It is very important when you are talking to a journalist to guard you toungue and if you can remember once Atherton called a Pakistan journalist a baboon, Rahul Dravid refused to anawer the journalist when one journalist accused him of 'match fixing'.
Murali many times failed in this criteria as once he was reprimanded for uttering nonsence to a british journalist during the test match series. Not that he wasn't considered and at one time he himself rejected the vice captaincy because he said that he will be not able to concentrate on the game while bowling huge amout of overs.
BTW guys, I am baffled why are you all paying so much attention to this mentally retarted historical queen. It's better you just igonore her comments, as she is a damn liar and down with some kind of a mental sickness. She becomes extrememly happy when she rouses racism in this blog. I don't know this woman might be thinking that rousing racism is orgasm. |
