It called upon the Sri Lankan state to promptly investigate allegations including 'torture committed after March 2004 when Colonel Karuna is believed to have allied himself with the state armed forces'.

Jaffna Peninsular is significantly cleaner than any part of Sri Lanka. Less litter and less stray dogs. Anyone who has been there would agree. |

North Indian states are the dirtiest. Lot of Eurpoean / American tourists mentioned that as well. In terms of shanties, beggars, air pollution, waterpollution and hygiene. I did not get ill (no stomach problems) for being in South for a month
well..!. according to what i've seen TN takes the top spot!. it is bad in north, i mean, especially in UP ..but you can see worse things in TN.
you didnt get anything?..lucky u!. i was there, and i got chicken pox and Jaundice! my friend got typhoid! :o)
