Over 20 Killed including Maj Gen Janaka Perera in LTTE suicide attack - Anuradhapura
The opposition leader of the North-Central provincial council, Maj General Janaka Perera and many others were killed when an LTTE suicide cadre blown himself inside the United National Party (UNP) near the Old Bus Stand in Auradhapura this morning, 6 October.

This is the systematic strategy of wiping out all leaders who can be a challenge to them. Destroyed Sinhala leaders like Lalith, Gamini, Premadasa, Ranjan Wijeratne, Luckey Algama and the Tamil Leaders like Kadir, Amirthalingam, Neelan and hundreds more.
This should make us determined to shed petty party politics and destroy LTTE as soon as possible. |

As SL HC in Australia he did a great job for the country. I have not seen any SL HC in Australia in public after Janaka left.

Janaka Perera, one of the SLA s most celebrated officers, was barred from entering SLA camps in April 2008 by the GOSL military hierarchy after he critisized the present SLA Commander and the Rajapaksa government for their conduct of war with unrealistic deadlines.And all lankans know who was responsible for today's blast no matter what is said in colombo Media
