As of now, as GOSL says we have captured a massive area and clearing is done. Yet a small area is there to released from the LTTE. The battle fronts are shrinking as the defense lines are converging. Which means we can deploy more soldiers and can increase the density of precense of soldiers. Then why do we still need to hire 24,000 more soldiers. What are the plans for the soldiers when the war is over.
I think there is a plan under the carpet. Lets wait and see for a while. |

Thalaivar,
It is not a problem of the phase the Army moves. Remember USA forces with that much of massive fire power took ages to enter Iraq.
First we need to analyze the activities carried out by the enemy, and plan accordingly. When the enemy with some powers, is silent, we need to be more vigorous as it can take a wrong step on a Jhonny Batta.
Second, doesn't matter whether we move forward or stay in the same place or even step back, as long as we can kill a lot of LTTE, so that their carder base is diluting day by day so one take we can do a cake walk.
Third, when our soldiers are tired of a long battle, we need to camp and wait, slowly smoke the den so the rat will come out.
Fourth, Simple chasing out the enemy will give a temporary solution as they will hide all their weapons and run out, or do a makeup and act like civilians. Then come back at a later stage and give the SLD a surprise attack with a maximum damage. So we need to let the enemy bring out their weapons and show us the places where we need to destroy.
So, I don't think SLD is doing something bad. But the problem with me is, when can the unbiased media can enter the liberated places and evaluate the situation. As of now more than 15,000 Square kilometers been said to be liberated, but still only about 5,000 Sqaure kilometers are freely accessible. |

are sldf successful in the killing strategy? do you believe army's claim that 6000 ltte dead?
Third, when our soldiers are tired of a long battle, we need to camp and wait, slowly smoke the den so the rat will come out.
this is where ltte were able to regroup and strike at places where army's strength is weak.do you think the sldf has sufficient man power to be deployed in whole area which army has liberated.(eg . the whole shaded(captured) areas in the map on defence.lk. dont you think ltte is still in a position to infilirate through jungle areas in captured territory and attack bases.or if they(sldf) have a long FDL is it possible to defend long fdl with the current man power?.
Fourth, Simple chasing out the enemy will give a temporary solution as they will hide all their weapons and run out, or do a makeup and act like civilians. in my opinion ltte will start their major operation after kili is captured by sldf.
