Lol ... weak come back gonnamba...
ohh shoot... how did SLA killed 6500 when there were only 3000?
hmmmm very suspicious. i think LTTE's ghost force is stopping them from entering kilinochi... thats why they called kilinochi a ghost town... hehehe
during 1999 i believe... ltte only had mullaithuvu... they didnt even have the elephantpass... but they pushed SLA back in 6 days spoiling their 1 and a half year efforts... hehehe |

We know all that.. Do not forget, there was a lot of political resistance at that time which made the SLDF get bogged down while the politicians dragged their feet.. Things are a lot different this time.

For those commenting on casualty numbers based on what is released by the Heroes Dept... bear this in mind:
As according to D.B.S.Jeyaraj in his report in April 2008:
..The figure for injuries was not released by the LTTE officially.
Informed Tamil sources revealed that 55 to 60 tigers were killed in the fighting. Of these only the names of the cadre with 18 months of experience would be eventually acknowledged.
Those with less than 18 months of experience are not regarded as full-fledged LTTE and will not be officially acknowledged.
For sake of argument, lets assume this number is true.. So those +1500 are ONLY the acknowledged number with +18 months of training!!.. what abut the +2000 with less than that 18 months!!.. :O)))
As the newly dug graves found by the SLA have shown.. there's alot more than 1500 bodies in the ground!!.. :O))

We had CBK, Anurudhdha Ratwatte, and RW in the opposition.. CBK was on vaction i beleive.. There was no political will to win against LTTE, just hold status-quo to prolong CBK's rule.
This is from what I remember... |

Rathwatha has given leadeship to the forces. so i dont think CBK's personal attention was needed much. also one of the military successes is capturing jaffna.
