may be now in 2008 but not in 1948. in 1948 there were 68% Buddhists (sinhala and tamil speaking) and 33% Hindus.

I appreciate your suggestion. But, you see SRi Lanka and Tamil Eelam are two countries. In Tamil Eelam, Sinhalese are a minority. So, according to Fonny, they (Sinhalese) should not make unreasonable demands.
Please understand, we are talking about two countries!
Which history book did you read? From the University of histories of peelamland !!!

Why are you comparing Sinhala/tamil population from 2008 against buddhists/Hindu religion ratio from 1948?? What's your point, because you're comparing apples against oranges!
there was never a island wide census taken on language base..
