The Army Tuesday (September 30) evening searched two Hindu kovils at Sandilipay in the Valigamam area. A quantity of arms, ammunition and several sets of military fatigues were recovered.

Sinhala population 75% Tamil population 12%


may be now in 2008 but not in 1948. in 1948 there were 68% Buddhists (sinhala and tamil speaking) and 33% Hindus.

Coming Monday, 06-October-2008, A protest will be held opposite of British Parliament against the BEGGAR's Lanka. The Organizers of this event are requesting all Thamils to present for this protest.

Dear UK Thamils,

We, Thamils, have to show our opposes to the Beggar's Lanka in world wide. it is an important in this time. please all Thamils, who live in UK, come to the event without any delays.
event will be started at 06.30Pm.

Nearest Tube station is Westminster.

Why are you comparing Sinhala/tamil population from 2008 against buddhists/Hindu religion ratio from 1948?? What's your point, because you're comparing apples against oranges!
