This is the moment a hero shopkeeper fought off a crazed robber wielding a Samurai sword - and locked him in a cupboard.
Drug-crazed Andrew Speed, 18, slashed at Rameshkumar Rasiah with the 18-inch blade screaming: ''I'm going to stab you, I'm going to kill you.''
But the brave worker chased him through the shop and eventually grabbed the blade as his boss and his sister waded in armed with a broom and pipe.
The trio grappled with the youth for two minutes and eventually bundled him into a store cupboard, where they locked him in until police arrived.
When he was eventually escorted from the shop by police officers he sobbed: ''Please, keep them away from me, I won't play up, get me out of here.''
Speed, of Southmead, Bristol, was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in a youth detention centre at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday.
Yesterday Rameshkumar, 31, - who suffered cuts and bruises to his palm and elbow - said the thug had ''picked on the wrong shopkeeper''.

Our Ram Anna is well. he is now in Amparai-Pollanaruwa Areas and leading well his mission. his cousin was shot-dead by SLA Thugs in Amparai.
His cousin was an innocent and 50yrs old family man, he has no any connection with his cousin, but SLA Thugs are real modayas and evils, so they are taking like this actions in Amparai. earlier SLA Thugs killed the Mother of Stanley, who is the deputy commander for Amparai. |

Absolutely. I am all for equality. I wouldn't want Sri Lankans of any community to be regarded as second class citizens
no one need to give us a status that we are equal to someone else while we are the natives in the island.
the unceremonious unification of the island and the political governing system under the guise of democracy , we have been labeled as a minority based on ethnic lines is the cause for the ethnic war in the island. we do not want to tell the sinhalas in the south and west how they should live their life and how they should govern them selves at the same time we do not want them to claim sovereignty over the north and east.

I appreciate your suggestion. But, you see SRi Lanka and Tamil Eelam are two countries. In Tamil Eelam, Sinhalese are a minority. So, according to Fonny, they (Sinhalese) should not make unreasonable demands.
