India might wait till the fall of poonakary , falling poonakary to the army means falling elephant pass. it seem the immediate intention of the gosl is to capture the areas between the A9 and A32 , A32 which runs along mannar to connect jaffna. connecting a land route to jaffna means the army in jaffna are quite safer in terms of supplies and in the case of evacuation compare to the situation prevailing now. (remembering two elephant pass debacles)

This is something like, I will rescue you from the rapist, but you have to let him undress you first,.... If you are a THERAPIST by profession, you should be very careful when printing business cards and writing down your job title. An accidential extra space can ruin your reputation. |

India has already turned a blind eye and it is in India's interest to see the famous 'liberation organization' destroyed.
Of course the GOSL has to thank Velu for his unconditional support and hard work. He played a vital role to bring India/SL relations to the current level. |

if the ltte wanted to fight, they would have fought along the omanthai mannar FDL. the ltte have stepped back and allowed the army to move into those areas and in this way the pressures are placed on the civilians by the army.
the ltte can complicate the army in various ways.. obviously MR has put the cart before the horse. he will not get away by painting the ltte as a mere terrorists. there should be a political solution on the table for the ltte and the Tamils to see it.
if India to move in, it also should come with a viable solution a kind of no less than a con federal set up.
