My concern is hos is he going to deliver that,... Can WMD Peelaratne shed some light on that matter,.. please ?
Piyal! Pal you are talking like you were just born yesterday. Whe have multiple means to deliver. Unlike Sinhala state, Tigers have heavily invested in R&D to produce arms locally.
Tigers have Rockets that can take WMD warheads upto 10-12 Km, may be more now. TAF can deliver, of course, much longer distance, as everyone knows, but you seem to be unaware of.
whats going to happen the trapped civilians in that area ?
Civilians are another factor that is holding VP not using massive weapons. Buy, 10 km warheads and TAFs will be used, if enemy battalions concentrate on one location, by using the economy of scale! |

Oh, here's a thought! Why doesn't the LTTE allow the civilians to leave... then the LTTE (according to you) will be happy, and the GoSL will be happy too! |

TOYOTA,
What did Velu do to Mahaththaya and Kittu.. I don't know about it. can someone elaborate more..?
Gopalasamy Mahendrarajah alias Mahatthaya joined LTTE at the age of 22 and was originally from Point Pedro area (unlike most other LTTE leaders who were from VVT, the birth place of Prabhakaran alias Suriya Thevan). Mahatthaya did a commendable job to rebuild LTTE during early to mid 80s when Prabhakaran was hiding in safe houses in Tamilnadu with the help of Indian authorities.
However, when Prabhakaran returned, Mahatthaya was appointed as the commander of Vanni, whereas Sathasivam Krishnakumar alias Kittu (who was from VVT) was appointed as the Commander of Jaffna (a position that identified with international significance). However, months before the Indian intervention of 1987, an unidentified man attacked Kittu with a grenade which cost Kittu his right leg.
Being handicapped, Kittu was forced out of military arena, paving the way for Mahatthaya to rose up in ranks with no obstacles. He first became the commander of Jaffna and eventually became the deputy leader of LTTE. As the military commander of Jaffna he fought some fierce battles against IPKF, wining the hearts of Eelamists as a military strategist.
As expected, his sudden popularity turned out to be something fatal to him. It did raise some eyebrows of some LTTE leaders including that of their supremo Suriya Thevan and his intelligence unit head Shanmuganathan Sivasankar alias Pottu Amman. During the same period, Kittu was killed during an attack carried out by Indians on the ship he was traveling and Pottu Amman sustained serious injuries when the vehicle he was traveling ran over a mine. Both these incidents were promptly credited to Mahatthaya's account and as with many other LTTE defectors, Mahatthaya too became a paid agent of RAW and got involved in serious misappropriations of LTTE funds.
Eventually Mahatthaya surrendered to Pottu Amman and was executed (in 1994) along with scores of his associates on charges of conspiring to kill Suriya Thevan. Eliminating those who loyal to Mahatthaya didn't stop there and another group of his followers were summarily executed at a location close to Chavakachcheri.

Ratha Regiment Deep Penetration Unit leader for Mulaitivu, 'Lt. Colonel' Ilamparuthi was killed. 11 days later, one of his deputies, 'Lt. Col' Nadesan was gunned down while attempting to breach the SLA FDL at Andankulam North. Ilamparuthi and Nadesan were exposed when an elaborate plan to infiltrate SLA areas from Weli Oya was foiled. Since then, the Special Forces have been on their trail.
