As the Northern liberation and SriLankanization get momentum, such names as 'Aadiyapaatham', 'Thirunelveali', 'Chengkaladi', 'Kaangkeasanthu rai'... WILL HAVE TO BE SHORTENED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.

These meaningless, rather stupid place names are bottlenecks in our march to progress and prosperity.
(I had to try 'Aadiyapaatham' more than four time before giving up)

It's now time to hold an island-wide competition to identify new shorter names.

What is the use?

Let Tamils to have their great culture.

We must help Tamils to rebuild their Sri Lankan Tamil culture.

Also extended to daydreamers like Thivya, Sritharan, Eeelamaya and all members of the WTF (World Tamil Federation) No discrimination.

Vinivida, the Captain of Sinhala Hela Ithikasa Team is dreaming in color. I think he is suffering from Amnesia, he forgot what happened to the Sinhala trespassers in Muhamalai just few months ago.

I think he should stop pronouncing Tamil names because he will never get a chance to cross Vanni borders anyway. :)

I thought 25 years was enough for Thambi to fry those poor 'sinhalaa thugs'...

Damn, they really multiply like flies!

Vinivida

Do not let cultures, religions, secondary identities, castes, traditions, beliefs, race, ethnicity... and endless others ROB SRI LANKANS' MARCH TO PROGRESS AND PROSPERITY.

Let anyone indulge in them... within themselves... very privately.

At the end of the day... no one can use them to pay bills.

But it is not going to happen in a country which has a long history & culture.

Any development without protecting good aspects of our culture is of no use.

We need to look how Japan, China & India are progressing despite their history & culture.

Respecting & promoting each others culture in a non interfering manner is the best way to move forward.

OK, now we have war in north and key-board-near-war in LNP. Anyway, I am sure, after about 1 or 2 years, Sinhalese and Tamils will live in harmony.

When I visited SL in Dec, I met one of my friends who visited Jaffna in the no-war time, that we had few years ago.

He told me, people are so friendly and even he (and his family) got a time to talk with LTTE members who came to hotel/a friend's house that they were.

We have historic harmony to live together.
Once this war is over, it will come brightly again.
