Aani,

GOSL captured the east and the LTTE captured Yala and Monaragala.
Now what ya gonna do:))

Sorry to dissapoint you old chap, LTTE did not captured Monaragala and Yala.

Perhaps LTTE walked in to a carefully laid down trap from GOSL.

I have some relartives in Buttala. They came to my house in Kandy after this incident, for a one week holiday:))

They told me that when the SL Army was in their recruiting drive, less than 10 youth joined from Buttala and Moneragala towns. Because they were fot feeling the heat of war yet... Now they realised that better to join Army, rather than killed as un-armed civilians, they join Army en-masse!!

The other chaps join Homeguards. The rest already got the guns.

Some UNP types were supplying food for the trapped LTTE carders. They brought the dry rations to Galge area via Buttala, Kataragama road in vans. The road is now closed and LTTE chappies are out of food. Thats why they stole the dinner packets of last three policemen they killed!

You think this is LTTE capturing Moneragala and Yala???

Sansare:

It only teaches people to love others, even to your enemy.

In my observation, there are lots of real Buddhists in Sri Lanka. But, the Buddhism preaches, 'ahimsa' or not hurt others. So, the real Buddhists just sit idle without doing anything.

The corrupt Buddhists, on the other hand, have taken a Mahawansa inspired approach, to bring Sinhala nationalism. And, this is playing nicely to the JVP opportunists!

UNP, as usual, opposes anything SLFP do and vise versa.

So, Southern politics have become a scrambled egg. There is no opint talking about making egg again. The best is for the Tamils to separate and let Sinhalese do whatever.

In fact separation may be good for Sinhalese, as that may make them realize their foolishness and may eventully bring prosperity!

So, separation means peace and prosperity to Sinhalese. For Tamils, we have to start from ground zero and build a new country!

Oh, come on Pera?

When and where did GOSL learn 'trap'? They did get trapped in Mannar, Muhamalai, and Vauniya.

here???
Karuna jailed for nine months
Britain sentenced Karuna Amman to nine months in prison yesterday for identity document fraud.

The Metropolitan police and immigration authorities arrested him in London late last year and he pleaded guilty to magistrates before Christmas.

?He has been sentenced to nine months in prison for holding false identity documents,? a court official told Reuters. ?He has already served 32 days on remand.?

The maximum sentence would have been two years but rights groups had feared he might just be fined and asked to leave the country.
