| Sri Lanka must not exceed powers given to provincial government as given in India. SL is a small country in compare to India and it does not have resources to maintain such a system in SL. For examaple, Tamil Nadu tamil population is over 55 million while tamil population in N and E of SL is less than 2 million. Provincial council is more than enough to solve certain tamil grievances. But we must defenately destroy LTTE in SL. |

Not the same 'old kasippu' .. We can come up with another 'brew', in a new bottle. Would like to see an 'a-symmetrical' solution .. on the lines given below.
We could devolve powers under the 13th Amendment, a-symmetrically. Devolve power to 3 units .. to the Northern Province, Eastern Province, and the other Provinces (taken as a Unit). That way we'lll save on maintaining un-necessary officialdom, and its perks. There has to be a 'strong' Center, to guide, sponsor, and control the major developmental effort, which must be directed at 'up-lifting' the Eastern Province, principally.
This is the key to the 'blossoming' of this Country .. in making 'Peace' a success. With the Eastern Province given 'all' necessary attention to develop on a 'Singapore' like model .. making it possible for Tamils and Muslims in the two provinces (East & North) to participate and contribute 'with passion' (as the French would say), and with the Sinhalese joining-in .. we can make the Eastern Province flourish & blossom (like Singapore).
The lessons we'd learn from that experiment could also be applied at the next stage to the other two Units (Northern Province, and the large bloc comprising the other Provinces) .. to make Sri Lanka the 'paradise', it deserves to be.

Control freak attitude has been destroying the cou ntry for last 50 years. JR tried to Control the N-E PC in 1987 and his own and India's choice Varatharasaperumal could not do a thing and declared UDI of Eelam.
If the majority wants to control the minority it's the government of the Sinhalese for the Sinhalese and by the Sinhalese, which will never work. In any family if the one with physical power controls the weaker partner ends in 'divorce'.
Either it must be like Singapore where all languages even the language of the minority with 4.2% population is official and implemented then there will be unity and peace or if the majority is prepared to share power as in S'land or Canada there will be peace and in the majority wants to control the minority it will end up in 'divorce'. |

| Let all these 'Dramas' or 'Nadagam' go on as there is no other option to go on with a tangible solution. Let another Million perish from all sides... this is what is required it seems ! |
