It was meant to satisfy the JVP (Sinhalese Marxist Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna) and the JHU (Sinhalese nationalist Jathika Hela Urumaya)
Marxists and Buddhists, Carl Marx and Goutam Buddha, a great combination for taking forward the 2500 year civilization to oblivion... This is exactly what Sinhala modayas want... We Tamils do not want any part of this!

| Whether the proposal is from Mahinda or some one else, if the proposal is good why do they reject. Why can't these people come to one agreement to solve this problem. The peace have come so closer. Why these people go for petty benefits. Give up parties and unite for peace. |

This is plain lack of self confidence and the fear that other will do better than you. You got to remember the chain is only strong as the weakest link.
If under the federal system if each unit wants to take care of its special interest, so be it. Overall it helps the country not the other way around. You being in Canada should understand each province actually takes care of its own interest. This is why when one industry suffers for some reason the whole country does not suffer. People move freely, rate of unemployment is always stable the inflation is maintained at 2-2.5%.
You preach to all about Tribalism but your stuck with Sinhala/Buddhist and unitary. This blinds you from looking at the country globally and individuals as human beings and not by race and religion. |

If you cant tolerate other religions and political ideas, you cant live in this world.
Things must be changed by the time as what happened to communism.
But, when the philosophy of a religion goes through the heart, it only help you to love other people. Dont go wild with JHU comments and insult Buddhism. It only make you a fool in front of civilized world.
Dont forget, Religions survive, even under very harsh situations.
DO NOT INSULT RELIGIONS.

TNA like a govt proposal which says GOSL provide all the funds and tamils can have self govt, tamils can do anything they want including being part of the greater tamil kingdom of TamilNadu. (it is like divorce the husband. But, wife wants the house, the luxury car and blank cheques every months because she was ONCE married to him.
TULF would go a little less which says, GOSL provide all the funds and let tamils do what ever they want, but, GOSL will always be responsible for giving blank cheques to the Regional govt.
Basically, there is no difference between TULF and TNA. One group initiated violence and wanted to show they are not for that.
The other group, don't talk about the violence they use, instead they talk about the solution they need. |

This is just fear mongering. When a state or province is established it is the responsibility of the Federal govt. to see that the province is able to function. Based on past history I don't think North will need any help after its up and running.
Do you understand the concept of transfer payments in Canada? Do you know the meaning of have and have-not provinces in Canada? Think in the same lines and you will get a better understanding.

I got news for you: that is how the system works in Canada unless you have a good lawyer. Still you cannot avoid the monthly cheques.

Well AnuD, WE will separate from Sorry Lanka and create a greater Tamil Nadu. Then we will launch an attack on Sinhala-Nadu and make their citizens become our slaves. We will push the border of Greater Tamil Nadu toward South.
How does this proposal sound like to you?
