Tamil United Liberation Front (TULF) president V. Anandasangaree said: 'The 13th amendment of 1987 was a treatment for ulcer. But 20 years down the line, the ulcer has become cancer. We now need a medicine for cancer, not ulcer.'
According to the then Chief Minister Varatharasaperumal merged N-E PC was a total failure. How can a de-merged PC system ever succeed?
Who holds the power and the money to enable the system to function? If the 13th Amendment wasn't implemented during the last 20 years IS there any remote chance that the Sinhala government will ever make it workable? |

| Naval troops conducting a special operation destroyed an LTTE hide-out located in the Peraru Jungles and recovered a large cache of arms and ammunitions yesterday (24th January 2008) around 1.00 p.m.
The LTTE hide-out, located 6 kilometers west of Nilaweli had been frequented by the LTTE cadres hiding in the jungle. Around 50 LTTE cadres who fled Thoppigala are suspected to be trapped in the Peraru JunglesThe cache of arms and ammunitions stored in the camps consists of two T 56 weapons, two SMG magazines, 63 Rocket Propelled Grenades (RPGs), 64 RPG expelling charges and 6000 ammunitions of 7.62 mm type, packed in eight boxes, each box containing 750 rounds.

No wonder that the main opposition slamms the proposal.....it seems that only ruling party and its alliences were mainly represented in APRC ... plus, this proposal did not come even through APRC's meeting, sessions and studies....this proposal was given to Prof Tissa Vitharana ready made in order to be represented by him in the name of APRC proposal by MR... i think, it's like the Chintanaya.....made by others.. mainly JHU and JVP.....
without a major contribution from main opposition, TNA and LTTE itself.. nothing of these will work out... |

Only a fool can corporate with a government that has cheated the minorities in every inch of the way.
Over the last 50 years all the treatments ,radiation, chemotherapy, hormone therapy and biological therapy. , have been tried and miserably failed.
The 'cancer' has spread all over and no cure is available except the only treatment cancer surgery. |
