No one prevented anybody from participating in the APRC.

Dewey dewey always ready to bend over backwards for your Mahinda eh old boy, yes you Mahinda prevented the TNA from participating, so this APRC sham is worthless, and even more so for proposing an already rejected proposal due to the Hindian's manipulating their puppet Mahinda.

Dewey
As a part of the solution, central govt must reduce its size to 1/4 of the current size with less than 20 ministers. Otherwise, half the population is required to run these local and central govts.

Yes. Cost cutting and reducing wastage should be a top priority. Less administrative layers we have, the cost saving increases.

With the help of new technologies(Internet, Telecom etc) a small country like Sri Lanka can be governed by having only three layers.
Local Government
Provincial Councils
Parliament

Nothing will come out of APRC. just few scraps as devolution and to try and hoodwink few. no TNA participation, whats the point?

North and East as separate provincial councils is basically in simple terms GOSL dictating terms to Tamils, and Tamils are expected to agree to everything. Where is the democracy?

The political parties that attended the All Party Representative Committee (APRC) unanimously agreed for a political solution, a member of the APRC said.

Sinhalese are a wonderful set of people!

They never learn, no regid policy and life is centred round paying lip service to dodge some existing issue.

13th amendment is a real joooooooke!!

President will appoint a Governer at his pleasure who will have full power over the chief minister and other ministers to decide on each and every thing and the President can sack the provincial government ellected by the people again at his own pleasure. In other words the provincial council will be run directly by the President.

This is called sweet balls.....still eyes are tightly shut.

Where are the madayans douglas and sangari and Karuna and Pillayan???

APRC did not have a choice. The 13th amendment was pushed down their throat by MR. The big Dutugumunu dint have a choice nor balls either because this was dictated by India.

So much for the sovereign Independent Republic.

Sangaree and Douglas will get their bones with a bit of flesh, that will keep them quiet, even though they always wanted a merged North and East

Karuna and Pillaiyan are well aware that 20 - 30,000 Tamils were ethnically cleansed from Mutur and Batti is going to be a Sinhala land soon but they keep quiet as they are 'freedom fighters' of the East

when the time comes, all these people will 'upgrade' into Sinhalese
