Who cares whether JVP opposes or not, both will be the same when one considers this joke 13 amendment!

Earlier you thought I am a women and dreamt about my looks and charm and then have thought that I am a hard core JVPer. It seems you have nothing else to do these days other than thinking about me. No wonder why you said that Ranil is the gentleman leader we have :)

In a joint statement issued on the final day of UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown's visit to India, he and the Indian Premier Manmohan Singh have urged the Sri Lankan government to 'put forward a credible devolution package as a key contribution to finding a political settlement'.

Fairplay

You are demonstrating something similar to Maslow's theory. Well and good.
To have a family, you need to do a job. To do a job,you need education. All the learned A/L students were failed by the government of their Rightful entry to the University. Incompetent candidates at work became jealous of their better qualified Tamil colleagues and revolted to bring the Intellectual domination.

Please be specific? There in no evidence to prove that Tamils are more intelligent than Sinhalese or vice versa. It is proportional to the population.

Today the job opportunities does not necessarily need a university degree. Professional courses like CIMA, CIM and various IT degrees and courses have changed the landscape of job market.

Government jobs does not have the same appeal as in the 50s. Currently there is big scarcity of IT professionals in Sri Lanka. BPOs cannot find enough people in Sri Lanka. World has changed my friend.

If you try to give solutions to the problems that existed in 50s, then you need a reality check first.

You mean GoSL will be asking for peace talks with LTTE?
That will be something wouldn't it?

Though I am for devolution of power, I disagree with the LTTE demands of devolution. Those demands cannot be achieved neither by peace nor by war. The LTTE leadership knows this well but they are adament not to achieve it but to prolong the war for their survival at the suffering of innocent lives. Maybe the current proposal is little short of tamil aspiration but sound good for a start.
